Former Therapist carries on Family legacy of Real Estate!

My grandmother, mother and uncle were all Real Estate agents.  My brother and sister still are. So when I turned 18, with my mother's encouragement, I got my real estate license. 

But instead of selling houses, I moved from Miami to Tallahassee to pursue a Counseling degree from Florida State University.  I spent 25 years as a therapist. Then 15 years ago, I felt a call back to my roots and activated my real estate license. I began building my real estate business as I let go of my psychotherapy practice.

My listening skills enable me to pay good attention to each customer's needs and preferences. I consider myself a "House Yenta" -- matchmaking buyers with houses that they love and sellers with  buyers that fit their homes.  I enjoy this whole process.

Having a Realtor you can trust is vital when buying or selling a home. It's important to me that my customers understand the transaction they are making. No questions are too small to ask.

I've been in Tallahassee since 1976 and lived in the Downtown area for more than 20 years. I have particular familiarity with Indian Head Acres, Myers Park, Lafayette Park, Betton, Woodgate, Midtown, Southwood, Piney Z, and the Gaines Street Arts and Railroad Square areas.

I recently became a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). This credential is given to real estate agents who have received advanced educational training and have a proven track record with selling homes (I'm in the top 10 percent for residential sales volume in Tallahassee). I'm currently working on a Green Certification and will persue a certification in working with Elders.

Being involved with the community is imporant to me and I have served on boards for several nonprofits including Big Bend Cares, Rape Crisis (now Refuge House), and the School of Arts and Sciences. In February, I began coordinating volunteers for the Alzheimer's Project-Respite Care Program at Temple Israel.
